Bifocal Lens

Bifocal lenses offer the possibility of combining two focal values in one lens. As a rule, the value for distance is taken from a distance of 2m and in the lower range – the near segment – the value for the reading range up to approx. 50cm. This also shows that the range for medium distances is missing and that there is a hard transition from distance to near. This type of lens is very popular among people who have always worn bifocals and cannot cope with progressive lenses, or they are used for strabismus therapy, for example.

We offer bifocal lenses in many designs – with a round, straight or curved near part or as an executive lens (E-Line).
