DRIVEWEAR is the world’s first photochromic lens that darkens behind the windscreen.
Thanks to the unique technology of the company Transitions Optical, the impossible became feasible. This company – the world leader in the production of photochromic lenses – has created an innovative photochromic lens for Younger Optics, whose molecules become active under the influence of visible light.

The DRIVEWEAR lens is the result of combining technologies from two American companies: NuPolar – the Younger Optics company and Transitions Optical.
The use of unique photochromic properties causes the lens to turn brown in visible light, increasing light absorption by up to 78%. In sunny weather, the activated molecules of the phototropic lens reduce the light intensity. The effect achieved is additionally supported by a polarising layer, which increases the quality of vision and visual comfort when driving.
Drivewear provides additional, instant eye protection, even after leaving the vehicle.
DRIVEWEAR offers additional, lightning-fast eye protection, even after getting out of the car – this is when the normal phototropic transition molecules become active. Depending on weather conditions, light absorption can even increase to 88%. The lens turns dark brown under the influence of the Transitions coating, which reacts to UV light. The maximum darkening is comparable with sunglasses.
DRIVEWEAR - Lenses provide 100% protection from harmful UV radiation in active and passive state. It provides maximum eye protection in the car and outdoors.
The full tint of the DRIVEWEAR lens depends on the intensity of solar radiation and visible light.
As the basic tint is 68%, DRIVEWEAR lenses are not suitable for driving at night.
